Severe Weather Procedures

In the event of a severe weather emergency, which poses a threat of imminent danger to our students and faculty,
Creek doors will be locked. Students can be checked out when the weather improves and conditions are safe. 

This decision was made by Mustang Public Schools based on the advice of FEMA and the National Weather Service. 

If you feel that you need to to pick up your child up from school, please do so early instead of waiting until the storm approaches. Absences due to severe weather emergencies will be excused. Our first and foremost priority is the safety of all our students and staff. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter of their safety.  

PLEASE NOTE: THIS FACILITY IS NOT A PUBLIC STORM SHELTER.

When you shop at Homeland, make sure to link your Homeland One Card to Mustang Creek.  Our ID # is 61023 If you have not linked your One Card to Creek yet, just ask the cashier to enter our ID during the transaction and your card will be linked to Creek from that point on.  You can also go to  homelandstores.com and click on the Dollars for Schools logo, then scroll down to "linking your card" and follow the directions there.  This is a GREAT and EASY way to help out Mustang Creek!

Car Rider Procedures

Morning Drop-Off:  
Begins at 7:10
    All vehicles MUST use the car rider lane on the east side of the building.
  All vehicles MUST turn right on 15th after dropping off/picking up your child.
East doors will be shut at 7:40 a.m.
Parents MUST accompany their child to check-in at the office.
Students will be counted tardy after 7:40 a.m.

Afternoon Pick-Up:
  If a parent forgets his/her tag, they must go to the office and show ID before child is released.
    Parents will NOT BE ABLE TO WALK UP TO THE GRASS AND PICK UP STUDENTS
All parents must go through car rider line.
    Please call the office (324-4567) by 1:30 p.m. if your child is going home a different way.

Parents should NOT get out of their vehicle to open car doors and help their child in/out. 
Staff members will help children to enter/exit a vehicle.
 

Please remember that all of our procedures are in place for the safety of all of our students.
