Angela Flanary - First Grade
The 2008-2009 school year will be my fifth year
of teaching. I have previously taught first grade for two years
and second grade for two years. First grade is my love!
Teaching children reading, writing, and math brings me so much
excitement and joy. I love to see a child develop from a
struggling reader into a fluent reader that has developed a love of
books. This year I hope your child strives to be all that he/she
can be here at Mustang Creek. I promise to work hard to help your
child develop the skills needed to be successful for the rest of their
educational career. I want each child in my classroom to
experience success in an environment of mutual respect and
encouragement. I want each child to feel able to take risks and
try new things and not feel afraid or embarrassed. I will spend a
lot of time trying to develop good character by using the magic triad,
eight expectations, and the life principles. I will also use every
means available to help your child achieve academic success.
Parent involvement is a major key in the success your child will
experience this year. I strongly encourage parents to work with
your child at home, and please know that you are always welcome in our
classroom.
Outside of the school day, I go home to my husband
Ryan, my son Trenton, and our black lab Belle. I have been married
to my husband Ryan for seven years. Ryan is a physical therapist
in Mustang at Valir Physical Therapy. My son Trenton will be one
year old on Sept. 21st. Ryan and I love to spend time playing with
Trenton and watching him learn new things. We also enjoy spending
time at the lake, working in our garden, riding our Harley, eating out,
going to church, and hanging out with our family and friends.
