Debbi Gandy - Third Grade
I was born in
Chanute, Kansas and when I was one, my parents moved to Trinidad, West
Indies to be missionaries. Both of my brothers were born in Trinidad.
I lived there until I was 17 years old and moved back to Bethany, OK. I
graduated from Bethany Public Schools and went on to Southern Nazarene
University (back then better known as Bethany Nazarene College). I
graduated from there with my Bachelor's and Master's degrees and my 19
years of teaching has been in the Mustang Public School system, teaching
music, third and fifth grades.
I am married to my wonderful husband Everett for 27 years. My children
are 18 to 23 students each year and I pour my life into them for that
year. Any time I am asked how many children I have, I give them the
amount I have for that year, a wonderful topic of discussion. My
parents were teachers and I knew from a young age I would teach and I am
living the dream that God gave me. I do have 7 grandchildren and 4
great-grandchildren and I have never had children, go figure!!
I love to read, walk, sing, teach and travel. I love life and want each
day to be a new adventure.
