Katrina Honnoll - First Grade
I am so excited to be at Creek Elementary this year! I
have been a teacher for 5 years and absolutely love it. I
graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 2004 with a
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I taught first
grade at Mustang Valley for three years, as well as one year in
third grade. In October 2006, I married my best friend,
Clint, and we now have the most adorable chocolate miniature
dachshund named Chaco. He is 1 ½ years old, and is my
sweet baby! We recently bought our first home and are
expecting our first child on September 24. I couldn't be
more excited than anything else in the world than I am to meet
him!! I enjoy running, cycling, reading, cooking, being
with my family, watching my husband do triathlons, taking Chaco
to the park, and getting things ready for my soon-to-be-here
baby boy!
I firmly believe that students must
feel safe and comfortable within their classroom environment in
order for them to grow and succeed. One of the ways we
accomplish this is by establishing a climate of mutual respect
and by learning life principles, such as honesty, respect,
integrity, teamwork, courtesy, self-discipline, responsibility,
forgiveness, and leadership. It is my goal that as
students practice these behaviors inside our classroom, they
will continue to live by them outside of school, and become
successful citizens that will made a difference in our
communities. I look forward to working with your child
this year. It is such a privilege and honor to guide them
through the learning process, as well as to work with and get to
know you. I believe that every child can succeed, and it
is my goal to help them find success in first grade!
