Karla James - Fourth Grade
 I have been teaching since 1990. After
graduating from Southern Illinois University, I taught one year in
Carbondale before moving to Oklahoma. I have been a certified WSI
swim instructor since college and I continue to give swimming lessons.
I have spent my entire life working with children. I have done
everything from babysitting in homes, teaching non-swimmers how to swim,
and now classroom instruction. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.
I am married to Willard James and we have three
sons. Jake is twenty-three, Nate is twenty-one and married to
Renee', and Travis is fifteen. Hobbies that I enjoy include
photography, water sports, and hunting with my boys. I love
Mexican food and I regularly get vanilla cream Dr. Peppers from Sonic.
I also like munching on fire Jolly Ranchers, chocolate, popcorn, and
Reese's Cups. I also enjoy spending time with my dog, Grizzly.
