Meggan Wilson - Principal
It is with great joy and anticipation that I begin my third year as the
head principal of Mustang Creek Elementary. I have loved school my
entire life...I love school supplies, new books, the smell of glue,
chalkboards, and most of all homework. You see, I was made to be a
principal.
I grew up all over the United States as my
father is a minister, and moving is part of the job. I moved to
Oklahoma to attend Southern Nazarene University. I graduated with
a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I then went on to
the University of Central Oklahoma and obtained my Masters Degree in
School Administration.
I began my teaching career in the Spring of
1997 at Buchanan Elementary in fourth grade. I have taught first,
third, and fourth grades in OKC Public Schools, Putnam City Public
Schools, and Mustang Public Schools. After seven years of varied
teaching experience, I left the classroom to become a school
administrator. Prior to moving to Mustang Creek Elementary as the
head principal in 2006, I was the assistant principal at Mustang Valley
Elementary for two years.
My incredible husband, Brandon, and I have two
precious girls, Emily and Olivia. Emily is in third grade and
Olivia is in kindergarten. Our girls are the light of our lives.
Recently, we welcomed a spunky little puppy named Freckles into our
family. In our spare time, we enjoy reading, cooking, and
traveling as a family.
I am confident that the 2008-2009 school year
will be one of great success for all. The students, staff, and
parents of Mustang Creek are dedicated to high achievement and
excellence. We honor and respect the unique and special
individuals that make-up our school environment. At Creek, we challenge
all who enter our doors to become “ALL THAT THEY CAN BE”.
